AENA SOON TO TEST ELECTRIC AEROTAXI

Aena will test electric aerotaxis (eVTOL) between Spanish cities such as Palma de Mallorca and Menorca, and Málaga and Granada from 2025. These demonstration flights focus on validating procedures and standards for integration into aviation. The technology offers sustainable and fast transport, with potential for passenger, medical and cargo transport. By 2030, the market value is estimated at €4.2 billion, accounting for 30% of the global market. Challenges include demand generation and social acceptance, but experts see eVTOLs as an important step towards efficient, environmentally friendly mobility.
