Carnival in Spain 2026: when and where?
In 2026, Carnival will take place from 12 to 18 February, with the highlight being the weekend of 14 and 15 February. Interestingly, 14 February is also Valentine's Day. Cádiz is known for its humour and satirical singing groups (12–22 February). Santa Cruz de Tenerife celebrates from 16 January to 22 February with spectacular parades. Las Palmas, Málaga, Sitges and Águilas also go all out, often with longer periods of celebration. Carnival dates vary from city to city, but one thing is certain: in February 2026, Spain will once again be one big party.
